Not usually drawn to poetry books, I was surprised by the emotion I felt when I first read these poems. They each stand alone as a special short story but leave you, the reader, room to interpret the meanings as they apply to your life experience. I'm looking forward to the next volume of Joan Scharff's life experiences.
What a lovely book. I can feel Joan's life radiating through her poems. My favorite's are "Listening" and "Shadow Walk".
